Japanese students are increasingly interested in working at foreign and international firms. In order to help such students find the jobs they are looking for, ACCJ Ecentral organizes job seminars at Colleges and Universities throughout Tokyo in cooperation with our client companies.
The latest seminar was held on Meiji University’s Ochanomizu campus in Tokyo. About 160 undergraduate and postgraduate students attended the seminar to hear advice on how best to find jobs in foreign and international firms as well as learn more about the corporate culture of such organizations.
The ACCJ Ecentral job event is very hands-on and practical for students. During the first session of the job seminar at Meiji University, panelists from global companies, such as DHL Japan, Mercer Japan, GPlusMedia and Advanced Management Training Group explained in detail about their businesses.
In the second session, human resource professionals from Robert Half Japan taught students how to write effective and appealing resumes in English.
In the last session of the job event, an HR manager from Shinsei Bank spoke about job interviews at global companies, introducing the idea of “diversity” in the workplace.
